Busy, yet boring, weekend
We had a super busy weekend. It started Friday afternoon when I had an ‘interview’ with a broker. Basically, we interviewed each other to see if it would be a good fit for both. The conversation went well and he said that even though they are out of space, turning people away, and cleaning house so to speak with existing agents, that I was welcome. That conversation was followed by a visit on Saturday to fill out paperwork and write so start up checks to the brokerage, ugh. So, now we wait a week until the state sends my license to the broker. Then, I am official!!!
We also went into DC on Saturday afternoon and walked the tidal basin with the Cherry Blossoms (and over one million tourists). The weather was perfect, and other than the crowds we had a great time. We must’ve walked about 3 miles total. On the way back to the car, we also stopped by the fish market and picked up a pound of fresh shrimp for dinner. Once we got home, we made the shrimp and other veggies in foil packets on the grill and sat outside and enjoyed the evening. I even celebrated with a couple of drinks (hey, at least it was Mich. Ultra).
Then Sunday was a Hom5 Depot and yard work day. We cleaned the garage, the patio furniture, fixed the loose boards and gate on the deck, used 25 bags of mulch for all the flower and tree beds, weeded, blah, blah, blah. My arse is really dragging today. It feels totally like I worked out because all of the muscles I never use are aching today (back, shoulders, sides). At least the yard looks great and we spent another day in the spring air.
