Back in the saddle

I sucked it up and ventured into workout land last night. My neck is about 80% better, so I thought that it was time to get off my arse and workout. It has been 8 days since I last worked out, so I figured that it would be a tough one. If not physically, then mentally for sure. I stretched a little, then warmed up with brisk walking on the treadmill, then I ran at a 1.5 incline (I know, its still pathetic). I was hurting yet invigorated at the same time. I ended up only going about 2.3 miles (as opposed to the 3 I usually do). But I was wiped out. Not sure if it is just the week off from working out or if it was that coupled with the meds for the neck strain. Either way, I hope that I will be bouncing back to full speed soon.

I will give it another go tonight and see how it goes. I am not going to do any lifting or pilates though until I am sure that my neck is 100% better.

Good for you for getting back in the saddle, so to speak! Thank you so much, too, for your wonderful comment on my site - very much appreciated. :)
